The taste of a coffee bean is determined by the type of climate and soil it grew in whereas, Aromas, on the other hand, are determined by the roasting profile. Sugar browning, for example, produces nutty, chocolate, or caramel notes. The Maillard Reaction is largely responsible for these notes that we taste in our coffee cups.

The origins of coffee grown around the world can be traced back to the ancient forests of Ethiopia. From there, cultivation began on the Arabian Peninsula, and by the 17th century, coffee had hit the shores of Europe. Today, it is enjoyed all over the world, and Conti Coffee has some of the best beans to offer!

Our single origin coffees are all traceable to one location. They boast a clear, quality flavour that’s based on the climate of the area they’re grown in. This means that your tastebuds can take a trip around the world over the course of a few cups of coffee from Conti Coffee!

Brazilian coffees are roasted light to medium and exhibit low acidity, medium to weak body with a nutty caramel aroma. It’s the most popular base for traditional espresso blends.

Ethiopian coffee beans have flowery, fruity characteristics and are of a stronger citric acidity with a medium to full body, it is a one of a kind Origin that packs an abundance of character.

Colombian coffee beans have a rich taste with notes of citrus fruits, chocolate, nuts, and toffee. Their acidity is mild and this makes them smooth on the palate and perfect for that mid-morning pick-me-up.

Guatemalan coffee beans are ideally balanced and have a full body. They’re strong and sweet and have a gentle acidity. They could be a great choice for a refreshing after-dinner drink. Think, Apricot, Almond and marmalade.

Burundi coffee beans have a delicate, sweet flavour profile, a lively acidity, and a rich body. Occasionally, this East African coffee also hints at wild florals, with suggestions of citrus and fruity blueberry notes.

Honduran coffee has a powerful, intense aroma, notes of milk chocolate, cherries, and nuts. The mild acidity combines perfectly with an unmatchable creamy sweetness.

Indian coffee beans are mild in citric acidity, has a milk chocolate flavour along with hazelnut praline character.

Indonesian coffee have a spicy flavour that could include notes of nutmeg, clove, cardamom, pepper, and hints of tropical fruit. Very low acidity and full bodied

Costa Rica Beans are known to produce a very distinctive coffee taste. Lively and bright acidity which is very pleasing. Notes of tropical fruit and sometimes a presentation of an herbaceous flavour. A medium dark roast brings the best character to the fore.

El Salvador coffee presents a mild and gentle honey-like flavour. A well-balanced origin with mild acidity. Nuts in the aroma and a caramel mouth feel makes this coffee very suitable for blending.
